Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Nore Haus website, the products we sell, and the Nore Haus Circle marketplace. By using any of these, you agree to what's below.

1. About us

"Nore Haus" refers to Nore Haus Inc. (or its operating affiliate), a British Columbia company that designs, builds, and installs backyard thermal spa kits, and operates the Nore Haus Circle marketplace. Contact: hello@norehaus.com.

2. Use of the website

You may browse this site, complete forms, and use the configurator for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not scrape, copy, or republish our content without written permission.

3. Quotes & proposals

Quotes generated by our configurator or sent by our team are indicative only until confirmed in a signed contract. Final pricing depends on your site survey, materials selected, and shipping destination. We may revise quotes if costs change before contract signing.

4. Orders, deposits & payments

  • Deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin fabrication, payable on contract signing.
  • Mid-payment: 40% on shipping confirmation.
  • Final payment: 10% on completion of on-site installation.
  • Payments are processed via Stripe, certified cheque, or wire transfer.
  • Delays in your payment may delay your build — we'll re-quote shipping if more than 60 days pass between deposit and final payment.

5. Cancellation & refunds

  • You may cancel within 72 hours of deposit for a full refund minus a $500 administrative fee.
  • After 72 hours, the deposit is non-refundable once fabrication has begun.
  • If we cannot deliver due to issues on our end (defects, missed deadlines beyond agreed terms), you're entitled to a full refund.

6. Site survey, install & permits

  • You're responsible for granting site access and confirming the install location.
  • We coordinate municipal permits where applicable. You're responsible for any HOA or strata approvals.
  • You confirm that your site has the necessary electrical, water, and grade conditions described in your quote. We're not liable for delays caused by site conditions that differ from what was disclosed.

7. Warranty

Each Nore Haus build ships with a written limited warranty:

  • 5 years on the pool shell and sauna shell against defects in materials or workmanship.
  • 1 year on mechanical components (plumbing, filtration, heating, stove, lighting).
  • 1 year on cosmetic surfaces (cedar finish, gaskets).

Warranty is subject to normal-use conditions and proper maintenance per the owner's manual. Damage from neglect, misuse, freeze damage from improper winterization, or third-party modifications is not covered.

8. Nore Haus Circle marketplace

If you list your spa on Nore Haus Circle:

  • You're the host. You set the price, hours, and house rules.
  • You're responsible for safe operation and any necessary local licensing (short-term rental permits, business licenses, insurance).
  • Nore Haus Circle takes a platform fee of 15% of each booking. Founding hosts in Vancouver receive year-one fee waivers as agreed in writing.
  • We hold guest payments in escrow and pay you out within 7 business days after each session, less the platform fee.
  • Earnings shown on the site are illustrative. Actual earnings depend on your cadence, pricing, and demand — we make no income guarantees.

9. If you book a session as a guest

  • You must be 18 or older and follow the host's house rules.
  • Cancellation: full refund up to 48 hours before; 50% within 48 hours; no refund within 12 hours.
  • Nore Haus mediates host-guest disputes within 30 days of the session.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nore Haus's total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the prior 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages. Thermal spa use carries inherent risks (heat, cold, slipping) and you assume those risks by using the product.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada. Disputes go to the courts of Vancouver, BC.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated to active customers by email.

These terms are a starting template. Have them reviewed by a Canadian commercial lawyer before relying on them for legal protection.
